Bunny Bunch

Donations

“The heart of a volunteer is not measured in size, but by the depth of the commitment to make a difference in the lives of others.” – DeAnn Hollis

Volunteering is a way to give back to the community and gives you an ability to help out others who are less fortunate or need help. When my teacher first presented us with the innovation project, where we got to make an impact in our community or in our own lives through a project of our choice, I knew I wanted to volunteer and help in a topic that mattered a lot to me. My partner and best friend, Jasmine, and I came up with a bunch of ideas that we could have done for the project like going to the middle schools and talking to them about high school, making a children’s book, reading to the children at elementary schools, and volunteering with animal shelters. We decided to help out either the Community Animal Network, which raises money for food, medicine, and shelter for cats and dogs waiting for adoption, or Bunny Bunch, which is a non-profit organization that takes care of bunnies, chinchillas, and guinea pigs. We finally agreed to help out Bunny Bunch.

BRAWL It Out

Apes

Face to face, ten groups, and one book. Only one group can win the ultimate fight. The fight to the death in the BRAWL. Honestly, when my teacher told me that we were going to from groups of three or four and make up our own questions for the book, All Quiet on the Western Frontier, I didn’t even know what to think. Mostly when he told us later on that we would be going against another team in the class on a random question, so we had to prepare (gather evidence) for all of them. Even though I was nervous and skeptical of the BRAWL at first, it turned out to be a very fun and interesting experience.

Listening

It feels good to have someone to talk to. You can tell them your problems, your thoughts, and everything else that comes through your wacky mind. They don’t even have to give you any advice or respond to you at all. Sometimes all you want in the world is for someone to listen to you. Not in the whole “I’m looking at you, but I can’t hear a word you say” moment, but a person who pays attention to you as you talk, nodding along, and reacting to the story like a human being. Writing on this blog, Murp, has been this way for me. This is exactly what it means to me. No one has to listen to me drone on for endless hours talking about my problems because if they actually read my post, they actually do care about what I have to offer. And honestly, I like it.

A Zillion Possibilites

Sometimes words have an unique way in capturing the true essence in life in ways that you can’t even describe it to someone else. It can help express your emotions for you and help you understand the deeper meaning in living itself while motivating you to quench your thirst for knowledge.
This is how I felt when I read this post about life compared to the animated movie, Up. I found it breathtaking to view life in a new perspective, in the way of a street with its different kind of variables and possibilities. Not to mention, it helps show that there is an adventure out there for all of us just waiting to be explored.

Toeses Are Roses

FIRST

You think it’s the end. You lie on your bed. You’re staring at the dark, gloomy roof, searching for an answer to your life. You see no purpose. Where is my purpose? What is my purpose? No response. You wonder if anyone cares. You’re lost and confused. Tears start to stream. You feel as though you’ve lost everything. What is the use? She said life was made with endless possibilities, but you’re lying there with no emotion, no clue where these “possibilities” lie because you have no idea where to find it. It’s dark and gloomy.

Yupperdoodles, what’s UP?

Up Balloons

This quote is from the book, the Count of Monte Cristo, by Alexandre Dumas. It makes everyone think their own amusement park and how they are going through it to this present day. Their own, Disneyland or Six Flags, with all the different rides to go on, the variety of foods to eat, and the people to hang out with. There are many options to take and a different course of action for each possibility. It creates an illusion about life itself and how love can tie into the amusement park of life that you created.

X(S)pecial Talents

Talent can be found from all corners of the earth. People may never even know that they may have a knack for something. It can lay dormant for years before they unearth their special ability. It could be something like having the voice that can hit the high pitch in that one song, dancing skills that everyone swoons for, magic skills that nobody can guess the trick, or the random ability to burp on cue. According to Henri Frederic Amiel, he believed that “doing easily what others found difficult is talent; doing what is impossible with talent is genius.” It shines a very new perspective on the idea of being talented and owning up to what you can do.

Words are the building blocks of the communication of human society. With words, made from letters, you can form sentences, which in turn combine to form paragraphs. You can use these words to talk to people and communicate your ideas.
